Mary Neal, M.D.

This meeting will be one of our highlights of the year. Dr. Neal, an orthopedic spine surgeon with a busy practice in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, will come to St. Andrew’s Church in Saratoga.  Several years ago, Dr. Neal experienced a fatal boating accident. She crossed to the other side while drowning in a Chilean river while on a kayaking trip with her husband and fellow kayaker-friends. She came back with some specific instructions from God for work she still needed to do. Her life has been one filled with the miracles and intervention of God. Her story of hope gives reason to live by faith.

Dr. Neal was born and raised in Michigan. After college, she attended UCLA medical school and completed her orthopedic surgery training at the University of Southern California. She lived in Sweden, Switzerland, and Los Angeles while undergoing 1 1/2 years of specialty training in spinal surgery before becoming the director of spine surgery at USC. Five years later, she left the University for private practice.

She currently lives and works in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she and her family enjoy the outdoor world, especially all forms of skiing, bicycling, boating, and hiking.
